A couple with two young girls contacted us with the list of needs as they were outgrowing their home. Their needs included an additional bedroom, a new deck for outdoor dining and an interior stair to connect the upper two stories to the inaccessible lower floor. Additionally they wanted the addition to maintain the classic architecture of the existing house.

To address their needs, we decided upon a simple, three story element added to the rear of the house. The design solution embraced the original architecture while opening up the interior with the elements of modern architecture and lots of natural light.
